Trash & Recycling Pickup Changes for Veterans Day in St. Louis

St. Louis Refuse Division announces holiday schedule changes for trash and recycling collection.

The City of St. Louis Refuse Division is informing residents about changes to the roll cart collection schedule in observance of Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Please review the following adjustments to ensure your solid waste and recycling are collected promptly.

Adjusted Collection Schedule

To accommodate the holiday, collection days for the week will shift.

For residents with Monday/Thursday collection:

Solid Waste (Trash): Your roll carts will be collected one day early, on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Recycling: Your collection remains on its regular schedule, Thursday, November 13, 2025.

For residents with Tuesday/Friday collection:

Solid Waste (Trash): Your roll carts will be collected one day later, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Recycling: Your collection remains on its regular schedule, Friday, November 14, 2025.

Yard Waste Collection

Please note that regular yard waste collection will pause for the holiday week. It is scheduled to resume the following week on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

For more detailed information, residents can visit the Refuse Division website. The site provides answers to common questions about various waste services, including:

Remodeling and renovation debris

Illegal dumping procedures

Bulky items and B.O.A.T. (Batteries, Oil, Appliances, Tires) disposal

Yard waste and Christmas tree guidelines

General recycling information

If you have hazardous waste to dispose of, please consult the city’s dedicated program at www.hhwstl.com for proper handling and drop-off instructions.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep St. Louis clean during the holiday week.
