St. Louis Blues fans without a streaming subscription have a new way to watch. On October 12, the team and Gray Media announced a multi-year partnership to air 10 games over the air on First Alert 4 on ABC (Channel 32 in St. Louis), starting October 22.
The first game
The first broadcast is Thursday, October 22, at 7 p.m. against the Vegas Golden Knights. Games are simulcasts of the team’s Blue Note+ telecasts, and pre- and postgame shows stay exclusive to Blue Note+. Gray will also air them in 10 other markets across the team’s five-state territory.
The 10-game schedule
- Oct. 22 vs. Vegas, 7 p.m.
- Early November at New Jersey (sources list Nov. 5 and Nov. 6, so confirm the date)
- Nov. 19 at Pittsburgh
- Dec. 17 at Boston
- Dec. 31 at Vegas, 2 p.m.
- Jan. 21 at Montreal
- Jan. 28 vs. Colorado, 7 p.m.
- Feb. 25 vs. Vancouver, 7 p.m.
- Mar. 11 vs. San Jose, 7 p.m.
- Mar. 25 vs. the New York Islanders, 7 p.m.
How the season has started
The Blues beat Columbus 5-3 on Saturday to move to 2-2-1. They visit Ottawa tonight. Last season, the team was eliminated from playoff contention on April 11, so this year’s start is being watched closely.
Why it matters
Over-the-air games make it easier for casual fans, families, and viewers who don’t pay for streaming to follow the team. For the Blues, a broader audience may help rebuild interest after a missed postseason.
