The number of people fully vaccinated in St. Louis City is 178,828. More than 80,000 people have received their first booster.
Why? Because it combines properties of both omicron and delta, the nation’s dominant variant in the middle of last year.
While the region is not under a similar threat as the winter omicron surge, the virus has spread across St. Louis at a rate five times higher than just six weeks ago.
