A few weeks ago, my good friend Jackie Phillip, of Unheard Media hit me up. Because, she wanted to invite me to a media event, that would conclude a full weekend of honorary doctorate recognitions.
A few days later, The Argus posted the press release, which included names like Melba Moore and Howard Hewitt, to the site. Casually, to inform everyone that it was all part of the Harvest Christian University Honorary Doctorate graduation ceremonial weekend, then later that evening, the Celebfest media room, and concert, would take place at Hollywood Casino, St. Louis.
Most importantly, on Saturday, November 18, 2023, the Celebfest was packed, and I even got a chance to meet the legendary singer Tony Terry. Moreover, there were many local media movers and shakers powered by Unheard Media; Podcaster Mike Tree, Lashin Out, Kut n Up Podcast, Real STL News, Burchell McGhee, The Real J.R., and Robin E. Shepherd of the new Foxy 106.9, IAm ESTL Magazine, The Argus and Golden Brick Publishing, just to name a few.
