Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum unveils The Illinois Freedom Project for a limited time

On loan from the National Park Service, come check out The Illinois Freedom Project in Springfield, MO.

The Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum announces its, “The Illinois Freedom Project.”

This exhibit tells the story of Illinois’ long fight for freedom from slavery, but it is only on loan from the National Park Service.

The Museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from noon until 4:00 and is located at 1440 Monument Ave., near the Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site entrance.
