Astra Coleman is a wellness coach, author, wife, and mother of two. Today, she feels a profound sense of purpose and passion in her life. However, there was a time when she felt her life was heading down the wrong path—a time she decided to change course.

**Sheila:** When did you decide to take your life into your own hands, and what motivated you to conduct your own research?

**Astra:** My journey began when I was 27 and my husband and I were trying to conceive our second child. After months of unsuccessful attempts, a routine check-up revealed a fibroid. My doctor recommended surgery, but I was determined to explore natural options. I found support through a social media group and embarked on a detox program, igniting a transformation.

**Sheila:** What changes did you make, and how did they impact your mental, spiritual, and physical health?

**Astra:** We embraced a plant-based diet after watching “What the Health,” replacing fried foods and processed snacks with whole foods. This shift not only improved our physical health but also alleviated mental stress. We sought support for my husband’s PTSD and found solace in counseling and online communities.

**Sheila:** Did you believe mental stress affected your ability to conceive?

**Astra:** Absolutely. Mental stress was prevalent in our lives, affecting our overall well-being. Seeking resources from the Wounded Warrior Project and engaging in counseling helped us navigate this challenging period.

**Sheila:** Did you find spiritual connections during your healing journey?

**Astra:** Meditation and breathing exercises became integral to reducing stress and fostering spiritual wellness.

**Sheila:** Pregnancy often requires physical preparation. What steps did you take?

**Astra:** I prioritized physical fitness, incorporating running, sauna sessions, and acupuncture into my routine.

**Sheila:** Environmental factors play a significant role in health. Did you address these?

**Astra:** Yes, I underwent a comprehensive detox, transitioning to eco-friendly cleaning products, and eliminating toxins from personal care items.

**Sheila:** How long after implementing these changes did you conceive, and how was your pregnancy?

**Astra:** A year later, we were blessed with a healthy pregnancy. I experienced minimal discomfort and delivered our daughter without complications. Our lifestyle changes undoubtedly contributed to her well-being.

**Astra’s Story:** My journey taught me the power of taking control of my health. I now share my experiences to empower other women to do the same. With determination and a holistic approach, we can transform our lives and pave the way for a healthier future.
