The Empowerment Network provides support, education, and advocacy for prostate cancer survivors and their loved ones.
The network primarily serves the African-American community in North St. Louis.
The T.E.N networks has extended their reach virtually, even as far as Ireland.
The network’s goal is to empower survivors and reduce the disproportionate impact of prostate cancer on black men.
T.E.N. collaborates with medical institutions, drafts legislation for screenings and treatments, and provides tools to manage stress, sustain healthy relationships, and maintain a positive attitude.
T.E.N. offers services beyond testing and treatment. Post-surgery kits, individual counseling, even psychosexual relationship services. They celebrate milestones with their Bell of Hope program and they’re growing with plans for a dedicated wellness center for cancer survivors.
