reStart Inc. Selected as Featured Charity Partner to Support Meal Programs for KC Homeless

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mark your calendars! Kansas City Restaurant Week (KCRW), the city’s premier dining event, is set to return for its 17th year from January 9-18, 2026. Organized by Visit KC and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association, this 10-day celebration of KC’s vibrant culinary scene offers a unique opportunity to indulge in multicourse menus at exclusive price points while giving back to the community.

A Feast for Foodies and a Boost for Local Causes

KCRW 2026 promises to be bigger and better than ever, with price tiers of $20, $40, $50, and $65, catering to a wide range of dining experiences. Whether you’re a local resident or a visitor, this event is your chance to explore Kansas City’s diverse dining options while supporting a great cause.

Participating restaurants will donate 10% of their menu sales to three charitable organizations: the Greater KC Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, the Visit KC Foundation, and a featured community beneficiary. Over the past 16 years, KCRW has raised more than $4.2 million for local charities, making it a cornerstone of Kansas City’s philanthropic efforts.

reStart Inc. Named 2026 Featured Charity

This year, reStart Inc. has been selected as the featured charity partner for KCRW 2026. A Kansas City-based organization, reStart provides critical support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. As the only agency in the region serving all populations—youth, veterans, families, and single adults—reStart offers shelter, meals, and comprehensive services to help people achieve lasting stability.

Stephanie Boyer, CEO of reStart, expressed her gratitude for the partnership:
“Food is one of the most powerful ways we connect as a community, and at reStart, it is also a lifeline. Each year, we serve nearly 90,000 meals to children, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness. Being selected as the Kansas City Restaurant Week charity partner means the meals we share at reStart are directly supported by the meals shared across our city — and together, we are nourishing both hope and stability.”

Funds raised during KCRW will support reStart’s meal programs, nutrition education, and homeless meal outreach, ensuring that some of Kansas City’s most vulnerable residents receive the care and support they need.

Early Bird Registration for Restaurants

Restaurants interested in participating in KCRW 2026 can take advantage of early bird registration, open now through December 1, 2025. Registration is free for members of Visit KC or the Greater KC Restaurant Association.
