NEW RELEASES: “How to Love A Black Man” and “How To Love A Black Woman”
Argus Empowered, a new feature series highlighting Black authors, speakers, and books that edify and strengthen our community, proudly spotlights this week’s featured author: Nuri Muhammad.
Nuri Muhammad is the author of the widely read relationship guide Before You Say I Do, a work that has helped countless readers approach love, commitment, and marriage with clarity, purpose, and responsibility. Building on that foundation, he has recently released two new works, How To Love A Black Woman and How To Love A Black Man, which offer direct, practical insight into healthy partnership, communication, and accountability within Black relationships.
Known to many as an inspirational teacher and spiritual physician, Nuri Muhammad has built a national and international reputation for delivering messages that blend scripture, science, and history in a way that is both accessible and transformative. His teachings emphasize personal responsibility, emotional maturity, and spiritual grounding, earning him invitations to speak at high schools, churches, colleges, prisons, banquets, and conferences across the United States and abroad.
In addition to Before You Say I Do and his latest relationship-focused releases, Nuri Muhammad is the author of nine books, including After You Say I Do, Let This Mind Be In You, The 7 Jewels of God, The Black Woman: The 2nd Self of God, A Well Made Man, and The Mathematics of the Mind. Four of his titles have reached bestseller status on Amazon, reflecting sustained national interest in his work.
His influence extends beyond publishing. Excerpts of his lectures have appeared in the music of major recording artists, and he has released a spoken-word music project, Black Excellence Manifesto Vol. 1, blending teaching with hip hop and R&B to address key themes of Black excellence and self-mastery.
Nuri Muhammad has appeared on major national platforms including The Breakfast Club, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, The Joe Budden Podcast, The Cam Newton Show, and The Counsel Culture Show with Nick Cannon, bringing conversations about relationships, culture, and growth to wide audiences.
Beyond national visibility, he takes pride in serving as Student Minister of Muhammad Mosque #74 in Indianapolis. The mosque complex—known as the Miracle on 38th Street—stands as a living example of Black ownership and collaboration, housing worship space, classrooms, and Black-owned food and produce ventures.
Through his writing, teaching, and community leadership, Nuri Muhammad continues to challenge individuals and families to love intentionally, build wisely, and grow with purpose.
