An evening of music, fellowship, and purpose will come together this July as the Duane H. Tolen, Sr. Foundation presents its 2nd Annual Duane “DT” Tolen, Sr. Benefit Concert—an elegant All White Affair dedicated to preserving one man’s legacy while investing in the next generation.
Scheduled for Sunday, July 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Water’s Edge at St. Peters Golf Club, the event promises an unforgettable afternoon of live entertainment, community celebration, and philanthropy under the theme, “One Legacy. One Night. Infinite Impact.”
Named in honor of the late Duane “DT” Tolen Sr., the annual benefit has become more than a memorial—it is a continuing investment in young people throughout the St. Louis region. Proceeds from the event will support the Foundation’s 2026 scholarship recipients as well as the Grace & Growth Girls Mentoring
Program, which provides mentorship, leadership development, educational enrichment, and life-changing opportunities to girls throughout the community at no cost to their families.
The evening will feature an impressive lineup of local entertainers, including The Coleman Hughes Project featuring Adrianne Felton King, acclaimed saxophonist Kelvin Evans, vocalist Tasha Renee B, and turntable favorite DJ Kut. Veteran radio personality BJ the DJ will serve as the evening’s special guest announcer,
helping guide guests through a celebration filled with music, inspiration, and community spirit.
Guests are encouraged to arrive dressed in elegant all-white attire, adding to the sophistication of an event that has quickly become one of the summer’s signature community gatherings. Heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, raffle prizes, giveaways, and opportunities to connect with community leaders and supporters will
round out the evening.
Beyond the entertainment, organizers hope attendees leave with a renewed commitment to investing in the next generation. Every scholarship awarded and every young woman mentored through Grace & Growth reflects the Foundation’s belief that lasting change begins by opening doors of opportunity and
equipping young people with the tools to succeed.
Hosted by Foundation Founder and President Sonya M. Bartlett, the benefit continues the mission of honoring Duane Tolen Sr.’s life through service, compassion, and community investment.
As communities across the region seek meaningful ways to support youth development, educational achievement, and positive mentorship, the Duane H. Tolen, Sr. Foundation offers a reminder that a single legacy can inspire countless futures.
