The City of Dellwood is preparing to celebrate a major milestone as residents, families and visitors come together for the city’s 75th anniversary Diamond Jubilee Expo—a community celebration highlighting three-quarters of a century of history, culture and civic pride.
The celebration will take place Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Dellwood Recreation Center, 10266 West Florissant Avenue in Dellwood. Hosted by Mayor Reggie Jones, the Diamond Jubilee Expo will bring together live music, entertainment, vendors, food and family activities for a day designed to celebrate both Dellwood’s history and its future.
Established in 1951, Dellwood has reached its diamond anniversary at a time when the importance of strong local communities remains as significant as ever. The 75th anniversary celebration offers an opportunity for longtime residents to reflect on the city’s journey while welcoming a new generation of families, businesses and community leaders into its continuing story.
Music and entertainment will be central to the celebration. The event’s featured headliner is R&B legend Howard Hewett, whose career as a solo artist and former lead vocalist of the acclaimed group Shalamar has made him a recognizable voice in R&B and soul music.
The entertainment lineup also includes the Gov-Step Team, Gospel Hour Praise Team and Mother’s Brain Tree Band, offering attendees a mix of inspirational, cultural and musical performances throughout the celebration.
Families will find plenty to enjoy as well. A Kids Corner will feature bounce houses and face painting, while the broader expo will include vendors, food vendors, giveaways and additional activities. Admission is free, making the Diamond Jubilee an opportunity for the entire community to participate.
Beyond the entertainment, Dellwood’s 75th anniversary represents something larger—the endurance and importance of community. Cities are ultimately defined by the people who call them home: the families who raise generations there, the businesses that invest in neighborhoods, the public servants who lead, and the residents who work every day to strengthen the places where they live.
The Diamond Jubilee Expo provides a moment to recognize that collective history while looking toward Dellwood’s next chapter.
Residents throughout North St. Louis County and the greater St. Louis region are invited to join Mayor Reggie Jones and the City of Dellwood in commemorating 75 years of community, culture and pride.
