Free outdoor celebration highlights St. Louis’ rich musical traditions with six live performances
The Central West End will come alive with the sounds of jazz, blues, brass, and soul on Saturday, August 15, as the Central West End Jazz and Blues Festival returns for a free outdoor celebration of music, culture, and community.
From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., residents, visitors, families, and music lovers from across the region are invited to gather at Euclid and Laclede for an afternoon of live entertainment, neighborhood connection, and the unmistakable spirit of St. Louis.
Featuring six live bands and performances throughout the day, the festival celebrates the city’s deep musical roots while creating a welcoming space for people of all ages to enjoy great music in the heart of the Central West End.

The festival lineup includes a dynamic mix of emerging artists and established performers:
1 p.m. — The Ryan Marquez Trio
The festival opens with the sounds of the Ryan Marquez Trio, setting the stage for an afternoon of exceptional musicianship.
2 p.m. — Josiah Burton and The Blue Notes
Josiah Burton and The Blue Notes bring their soulful blend of jazz and blues to the festival stage.
3 p.m. — The Dhoruba Collective
The Dhoruba Collective continues the celebration with a performance rooted in creativity, collaboration, and musical expression.
4 p.m. — Dee Jazz
Dee Jazz brings a smooth and engaging jazz experience that highlights the timeless appeal of the genre.
5 p.m. — Red and Black Brass Band
The energy rises with the Red and Black Brass Band, delivering the powerful sounds and lively traditions of brass music.
6 p.m. — Lamar Harris & Georgia Mae featuring J Scooter Brown
The festival closes with a special performance featuring Lamar Harris and Georgia Mae with J Scooter Brown.
The afternoon’s celebration will be hosted by Emcee Tee Parks, who will guide attendees through a day filled with music, entertainment, and community pride.
