Three leading healthcare advisors will be on hand Live/Facebook to discuss HIV in the black community. In addition to the panel, they will educate our community on staying healthy, and preventive measures we all can take to avoid risks along the way.
What is HIV/AIDS? Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks the body’s immune system, making it unable to fight off common infections and diseases. Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is the most advanced stage of HIV infection. AIDS can lead to serious illness and death. HIV can be spread through contact with infected bodily fluids, such as blood, semen and vaginal secretions.
