As Lacey “G Souldier” Turner, I am thrilled to share the exciting news of being honored with the “Business of The Year Award” at The 22nd Annual Service Of The Year Awards held at the Capital in Jefferson City, Missouri. Hosted by the Missouri Community Service Commission (MCSC), this prestigious event recognizes individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to service and volunteerism throughout the state.
The ceremony, held at the Missouri State Capitol, was a celebration of the remarkable impact of service on communities across Missouri. As the Acting Director of the Department of Economic Development, Michelle Hataway, eloquently stated, it’s truly inspiring to witness the generosity and dedication of individuals who strive to make a difference in the lives of others.
The Show Me Service Awards, divided into seven categories and awarded across four regions, highlight the diverse ways in which Missourians contribute to their communities. From youth volunteers to senior citizens, each award recipient embodies the spirit of service and embodies the values of compassion and altruism.
For me, receiving the Business of The Year Award for my production company, “4 Feet Off The Ground Productions,” was a deeply humbling experience. Founded in 2016, my St. Louis-based company is committed to providing top-notch creative and technical services for commercials, music, and movies nationally and worldwide. my mission is to inspire, motivate, and produce quality content that resonates with audiences.
One of my most notable achievements is the critically acclaimed drama series “The Lou,” which has garnered recognition at prestigious film festivals such as The St. Louis International Film Festival and The Sci-Fi and Horror Film Festival. Additionally, I am honored to contribute to online media platforms as a podcaster and journalist for “The Narrative Matters” and “St. Louis Argus.”
The atmosphere at the Capital was electric as political officials and families gathered to celebrate the achievements of the awardees. Receiving this award is not only a testimonial to the hard work and dedication I put in at 4 Feet Off The Ground Productions but also a reminder of the importance of giving back to the community that has supported me.
I am immensely grateful for this recognition, as it reaffirms my belief that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible. As I continue on my journey of life, I am reminded to remain humble and thankful for the opportunities to make a positive impact. All glory and praise belong to God, who has blessed me with the ability to give back and serve others.
