The St. Louis Battlehawks have set the bar for game-day experience and atmosphere in both the XFL and USFL, with the best attendance for home games.

The Battlehawks have enjoyed the best attendance for home games among XFL and USFL teams, and UFL vice president of football operations Daryl Johnston has pointed toward it as the gold standard for game-day experience and atmosphere.
Not surprisingly, the #UFL Championship game will be held in St. Louis, according to @RJ_Young (h/t @NewsUFL).

In 2023, the USFL played its postseason and championship game at Tom Benson Pro Football Hall of Fame Stadium, while the XFL played its championship game at the Alamodome in San Antonio.”
This is huge news for the city and for fans of the St. Louis Battlehawks. The team boasted some of the most impressive fan turnouts we’ve ever seen in spring football last year, proving their value to the XFL – and now, the newly formed UFL. The Dome at America’s Center has consistently been a rocking venue both in 2020 and 2023, and one would expect those numbers to be even better with a second consecutive season.
This pivot for the Championship game makes a lot of sense. The USFL held both of their Championships at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, and saw decent crowds – but neither got close to the attendance we saw in St. Louis, as the Battlehawks averaged over 35,000 fans per game in 2023.
San Antonio hosted the 2023 XFL Championship at the Alamodome, and saw a respectable crowd of over 22,000.
Final Thoughts
Last year, despite a 7-3 record, the Battlehawks were not able to crack the postseason. However, this year they will not only have an opportunity to play for a Championship, but also will be able to host the game on their home turf, if they make it there.
Under the leadership of second year Head Coach Anthony Becht, the Battlehawks are primed for an exciting season in the UFL.
