Get the scoop on possible NBA trade deadline targets as the rumor mill heats up. Could big names like Pascal Siakam be on the move?

The NBA trade deadline may be a few weeks away, but that does not stop the trade rumors. Trade rumors are going around, and come the deadline, some names could be on the move. Pascal Siakam was one of those names, and he was involved in a deal on Wednesday. The Toronto Raptors traded him to the Indiana Pacers. With Siakam off the board, there could be more moves on the way. With that said, here are five players that could be moved before or during the NBA trade deadline.

1.) Dejounte Murray

Dejounte Murray is a talented player that the Atlanta Hawks expected to pair with Trae Young. The duo has been solid, but there are talks the Hawks could be open to moving on from the Murray and Young backcourt. The Los Angeles Lakers could be a team in the mix for Murray. If the Lakers decide to make a play at Murray, there is a good chance that D’Angelo Russell is involved in the deal.

Murray averages 21.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals. He also has a contract extension (for four years, $114 million) that is set to kick in at the start of the 2024-25 season. Murray could be a valuable player for the right team, and if they are willing to take on his contract, he could be on the move soon.

2) Zach LaVine

Zach LaVine is a name that has been in trade rumors for quite some time. It seems like every year, LaVine’s name is attached to a team such as the Lakers. This year could be the year that the Chicago Bulls finally decide to move on from him. LaVine is a skilled player who can help the right team. He averages 20.0 points and 5.3 rebounds. LaVine still has a few years left on his contract, and like Murray, if a team is willing to take that, he could be on the move. Could this be the season LaVine gets traded?

3.) Buddy Hield

Buddy Hield is one of the league’s best shooters. He has been a valuable player for the Indiana Pacers, but he could be on the move. Hield averages 12.7 points and 3.2 rebounds. That is his lowest average (point-wise) with the Pacers, and with Hield and the Pacers failing to reach an extension, it could be time to move on. Hield’s name has been attached to teams such as the Orlando Magic.

4.) Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole is another player to keep an eye on. He joined the Washington Wizards during an offseason trade, where the Golden State Warriors acquired Chris Paul. Poole is averaging 16.9 points and 3.6 assists. Poole has had his share of ups and downs this season, and a change of scenery could benefit him. There have not been many talks (so far) but the Lakers may be a team to watch.

5.) DeMar DeRozan

DeMar DeRozan is a veteran and still has something left in the tank. DeRozan averages 22.0 points and 5.2 assists. DeRozan deserves to play for a contending team and he can contribute right away. When it comes to rumors about a possible trade, the Miami Heat and the Lakers are in the mix.

The trade deadline could get interesting, and any of these names (and more) could be on the move.
