Three Kings Restaurant in the Delmar Loop, was ravished by a huge fire this morning

A 3-alarm fire destroys a premier eating destination in the Delmar Loop, a large presence of fire trucks can be seen at the location.

At around 8 a.m., this morning I’d gotten a text about a fire in the loop area. Coincidentially, I was driving that way to my home visit. It was very cloudy in the area around Kingland Ave, as a result of the smoke from the said fire.

I got out of my car at Leland Ave., and had spoken with the officers, who were blocking off traffic, from entering Delmar to the west, and it was really “Three Kings”, that was on fire. And the large amount of emergency vehicles, namely area fire trucks, had their hose full trying to extinguish the blaze.

So, taking it all in that one of my favorite eateries had caught a fire, was so distressing to me. It was a 3 alarm fire, and Delmar Blvd., at Leland and heading all the way east toward Three Kings, was blocked off to traffic. However, it didn’t stop passerbys from trying to get a glimpse of what was really going on.

Given the nature of the calamity, and feeling hopeless, I felt there wasn’t anything really left for me to do. So, I took a few photos and left the location.
