Are you part of an organization that works on public safety issues in your community? Are you part of a “culturally specific organization” whose primary purpose is to serve specific racial, ethnic, or cultural groups? If so, the Office of Justice Programs (OJP), the primary grantmaking component of the Department of Justice, invites you to a virtual discussion titled Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through OJP Grantmaking, on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm ET

This forum is an opportunity to be in conversation with OJP leadership about its efforts to advance racial equity and reduce barriers to accessing OJP grants and programming for community based organizations. It will also be an opportunity for you to inform OJP about your community’s public safety needs and priorities.
OJP wants to hear from communities most impacted by public safety issues, and work together to advance the fair administration of justice, improve justice system responses and community engagement, ensure all victims get the assistance they need, and invest in community centered approaches and initiatives.

We hope you can join us for this important conversation.
