Lance Claiborne, the President of The Builders in Kansas City, said that the industry has not reached a point where mega projects were halted due to a lack of workforce.
He attributed this success to the collaborative efforts and partnerships within the local construction sector.
“We haven’t had that crunch where a mega project couldn’t go forward because there was no workforce,” he said.
He said the level of demand happening in Kansas City is unprecedented. Those projects include new stadiums, new bridges and The Panasonic battery facility.
The center has hosted numerous school students, exposing them to the opportunities within the construction industry.
Claiborne said the jobs are well-paying and family-sustaining.
“Construction is a viable career,” he said
