You may have seen this bubbling young talent when he debuted alongside Awards winner fellow St. Louis actor Sterling Brown, in the critically acclaimed awards-winning ‘This is Us.’ However, Jonigan’s Booth bright lights continue to shine as he clambers to stardom.

He is no. 8, in the wildly contagious sports comedy ‘The Underdoggs’ a film that has skipped the theaters and is now streaming on Prime. And that is okay because it seems like a great opportunity for his fans and family to watch him at any time.

Before I give you a little background about the Amazon/Prime release, I want to tell you about 12-year-old Jonigan’s fabulous family in St. Louis. Jonigan comes from a powerful group of innovators in St. Louis.

Moreover, his family are award-winning hospitality movers and shakers in the nightlife circle of St. Louis. In addition to that, they are also community advocates with no qualms about giving back to the community.

Furthermore, when you see this beacon of light shine, you know his upbringing is one reason why he is our shining “Nova” to look out for. I am so proud of my friend’s grandson, and I am praying for the opportunity to see him at the Emmy Awards or maybe the Academy Awards one day.

In closing, tonight at his family night spot in St. Louis, they will be hosting a watch party for ‘The Underdoggs’:

More: From Lacey’s ‘G Souldier’ Turner movie review on January 11th

Are you ready for a hilarious and heartwarming cinematic experience, as actor/rapper Snoop Dogg leads an ensemble cast in the upcoming sports comedy film, The Underdoggs. A slapstick comedy directed by Charles Stone III, this raunchy yet family-friendly movie promises to be a touchdown of laughter, redemption, and diversity.

The Underdoggs introduces us to Jaycen “Two Js” Jennings, portrayed by Snoop Dogg, a washed-up ex-professional football star who finds himself at rock bottom. After a series of unfortunate events, Jaycen is sentenced to community service, and his redemption journey takes an unexpected turn when he is assigned to coach an unruly pee-wee football team called the “Underdoggs.”  Loosely inspired by Snoop Dogg’s real-life initiative, the Snoop Youth Football League, the film showcases how sports can instill positive values and teamwork in inner-city kids.

Despite its raunchy humor, the movie celebrates the essence of community, second chances, and the joy of pursuing victory, mirroring the values that Snoop Dogg aimed to spread through his football league.

Furthermore, the star-studded cast includes Mike Epps, Tika Sumpter, Schelle Purcell, Lovell Gates, and our little St. Louis star Jonigan Booth (# 8), each contributing to the comedic and heartfelt narrative. The film is set to premiere on January 26, 2024, exclusively on Prime Video, reaching audiences in over 240 countries and territories around the globe.

Originally planned for a theatrical release, the decision to premiere on Prime Video aims to provide the widest audience possible, acknowledging the challenges faced by live-action R-rated comedies at the box office in recent times. Amazon MGM remains committed to its theatrical plans for the long term, recognizing the changing dynamics of audience preferences.
