Discover how Esthetician Cierra Taylor helps her clients look and feel good through her expertise in skincare and beauty services.

How do you feel? Do you look good?
From the comfort of her relaxing salon, Esthetician Cierra Taylor, owner of Knuu Esthetics, makes it easy for clients to feel and look good with full body waxing and facials. Skincare sessions are cosmetic in nature and promote healthy skin and beautification.
But just as important, that’s why Taylor does what she do – provide a therapeutic experience that soothes the soul and delights the skin.
“If you feel good, you look good. If you look good, you feel good,” she says. “So, if I can help, why not?”
A licensed esthetician, Taylor’s services aim to:
- Maintain skin health, wellness, and vitality
- improve its overall appearance, including the tone, texture, and color
- Combat the effects of sun exposure and aging
This time of year, winter, dry skin is a culprit, Taylor says. Core treatments include cleansing, toning for a proper PH balance, and exfoliation, the process of removing dead skin cells from the outer layer of the largest organ of the body – skin.
For facials, the procedure also involves the application of face masks to combat dryness. It complements the process of toning and removing dead skin, drawing out oils, dirt, and other impurities from pores. Types of masks vary. A face serum is also part of the skin care process for the face.
“Facials are custom. One set way does not fit all,” Taylor says. “That’s why I offer a consultation first to determine what is needed.”
Full-body waxing is a procedure that involves removing hairs from every area of your body directly from the roots. The technique is more popular with women. It consists of hair removal from not just from legs, arms, underarms, stomach, and face areas, but also the vagina, panty line, and inner thigh known as the Brazilian, Bikini Line, and Bikini techniques, respectfully.
“Of course, the Brazilian, Bikini Line and Bikini services are more intimate experiences because of the vulnerable position required,” Taylor says. “I make sure to make everyone feel comfortable, providing a safe space.”
For men, body waxing on the chest and back is popular, Taylor says, adding that men also come in for facials.
Most of her clients are under the age of 40. A facial can take up to 60 minutes, while a full body waxing about up to 30 minutes.
Taylor, 34, has been an esthetician for two years. She is the owner-operator of Knuu, located in the Ryze Suites, 9589 Page Avenue in Overland. She’ll celebrate one year in business in April. “It’s been a learning process and journey. But I love it.”
Taylor recommends monthly visits for facials; and full body waxing as needed. Skin exfoliation should be done two to three times a week as part of the person’s hygiene routine at home.
The name of Taylor’s service, Knuu Esthetics, is a play on words, hoping to invoke a thought-provoking and catchy expression that captures the essence of feeling and looking good.
“I want my clients to leave feeling and look like a ‘New You’,” she says. “I was thinking how do I come up with another word for New You?
“Knu is for New, and ‘u’ is for You – Knuu Esthetics.”

A side note
Estheticians are not allowed to do certain things, including:
- Diagnose skin conditions
- Prescribe medications
- Suggest treatment for any skin condition outside of cosmetic products
Estheticians are limited to performing treatments that work on the superficial layers of the skin. Therefore, they can’t give any types of injectables like Botox (a procedure that treats wrinkles) or facial fillers (non-surgical facelifts), nor can they do deep chemical peels.
A licensed medical professional, such as a dermatologist, is qualified to diagnose skin conditions and perform a wide range of invasive and non-invasive procedures.
