Cinema St. Louis has always been the staple of the community when it comes to showcasing films. The organization serves as the area’s primary venue for films made by local artists. After a two-year hiatus from physical public screenings due to the Pandemic, Cinema St. Louis is back with its most prestigious event. The St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase. This event will screen from July 15-24.

My name is Lacey “G Souldier” Turner, and I am one of the most prominent filmmakers born and raised here in St. Louis. Mo.  I have been a constant supporter of Cinema St. Louis and have had multiple films of mine premiere throughout the years.

This year, I am honored once again to have two of the films that I wrote and directed selected to screen in the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase.  My film, titled  “Are You Vaccinated?” Is a powerful story that deals with the vaccine and the pandemic that we are still facing today.  My other film  “Daddy’s Little Princess” is a heartfelt story that will surely capture the minds of audiences all over.

Synopsis for:  Are You Vaccinated?

“While waiting for a job interview, Anita is privy to an intense discussion. What happens next, sends chills down her spine.”

Synopsis for:  Daddy’s Little Princess

“After attempting to make a decision that will define his life forever, Carlos is acquainted with his daughter. He makes a choice that he won’t forget”

My two films will be showing on July 22nd at 8:30 pm at Washington University’s Brown Hall Auditorium. If you are in St. Louis, you don’t want to miss this monumental event. There will be a multitude of films shown that are created by St. Lousians from all over. It is a must that we always come out to support our homegrown talent.

The St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase 14 film programs will screen at Washington University’s Brown Hall Auditorium from July 15-17 and 22-24.

The Closing-Night Awards Party will be Sunday, July 24th from 7 pm-11 pm at The Blueberry Hill’s Duck Room, 6504 Delmar Blvd.  Free (donations are requested at the door)
