And the event went out with a bang!
Sherre Ward is the owner of Kut-Nup Productions LLC. A St. Louis-based company that specializes in live events and community theatrical productions.
On October 8th, 2022, Kut-Nup Productions presented their annual Sync or Swim Lip Sync Competition.
This year’s theme was R&B Duet Songs. Couples performed some of the greatest classic songs in the music culture from different eras such as Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terell’s ‘Ain’t No Mountain High enough’, Eminem and Rihanna’s ‘Love The Way You Lie’, Method Man and Mary J Blige’s ‘All I need’, Alexander O’Neil and Cherrelle ‘Saturday Love’, Ashford and Simpson ‘Solid’, Jill Scott and Anthony Hamilton ‘So In Love’, and Luther Vandross and Cheryl ‘If this World Were Mine.’
Great food and delicious drinks were on hand to fill everyone’s appetite with complimentary wine for the audience as they participated and cheered on the contestants. The performers were decked out in the most prestigious outfits and wigs to recreate the wardrobes of the celebrities they portrayed.
Sherre Ward then presented a beautiful tribute to her daughter, Mya Ward who sadly lost her life last year. The tribute was introduced by Mya’s sister, Breea Ward. The show ended with a surprise performance by the contestants performing the great hit ‘Mary Jane’ by the late great Rick James.
These events are always fantastic and showcase some of the most high-caliber talents that St. Louis has to offer. Thanks to all the backup singers, judges, and crew who made this event spectacular.
