Romans 12 Outreach Ministry holds their free master business class once a month for people ages 16-21.
HAZELWOOD, Mo. — Local entrepreneurs hosted a class on Saturday to inspire and motivate the next generation.
People ages 16-21 came to the class, Business Startup Master Program, in north St. Louis County eager to learn.
Candance Dorsey and her husband’s non-profit Romans 12 Outreach Ministry hosted their first class at their new location, 405 Chez Paree Drive in Hazelwood.
The class will take place once a month and, “We’re teaching them how to register with the secretary of state, with the IRS, how to create a business plan, how to create a financial plan,” Dorsey said.
Fitness enthusiast Markell Stewart, 18, took Saturday’s class and said now he could better see the business he imagined a few years ago.
“They actually told me how important a business plan is today,” Stewart said. “I need help. I need guidance to start a personal training business.”
Many of the attendees walked away more confident in their entrepreneurial aspirations.

Romans 12 Outreach is a community service-driven non-profit that started in 2023. The goal is to feed entrepreneurial spirits what they need to be successful for free.

“I’ve already had a passion to help the youth and help others so I decided to take 10 percent off the profit I make from Eye Candy Beauty Bar to donate to our ministry so we could provide these classes,” Dorsey said.
The class emerged from Dorsey’s vision for her own business, 220 Eye Candy Beauty Bar, which she recently opened on Manchester Avenue.
“They are our future leaders,” Dorsey said.
