Another exciting networking event with Dismas House’s Communication Director Tara Barrett.
It was an exciting afternoon of networking, brought to you by Dismas House’s Communication Director Tara Barrett. I had the pleasure of working with Miss Barrett many years ago when I worked at the facility as a lead compliance supervisor. And to have this enterprising genius ask me to be a part of the new vision that she represents, is rewarding.
The networking symposium brought together a host of business professionals throughout the city. We get the opportunity, every other month to discuss what is going on with our companies and how we are making a difference with the services we provide.
The Dismas House’s staff discussed reentry and the importance of rehabilitating their clients into a shocked society. After being in prison for so many years, coming out to a new unfamiliar territory can be very damaging.

And it is comforting to network with people in the mental health field and the job market, who can help with reformity.
Some of the guests in attendance:
Christy Ivory, MSW Behavioral Health Network of St. Louis
Candace Henderson, Affina Healthcare
Ashton Russell, PlacesSmart
Lucinda Dennis, Connections to Success
Pat Henton, Missouri State Highway Patrol
Dismas House:
Tara Barrett, Communication Director
John House, Federal Program Director
Anthony Arington-CFO
Jerome McCloud-Re-Entry Supervisor
Shenise Williams-Social Service Coordinator
C.Williams, Social Service Coordinator
Dismas House of St. Louis, 5025 Cote Brillante, St. Louis, MO 63113
In closing, I must ascertain that meeting new faces and connecting with old ones was rewarding.
