The city of Champions celebrated their high school football Kings, East St. Louis Flyers winning state

The Flyers were no. 6 seed going in, but their style of play didn’t show it.

As we all know around this way in St. Louis, MO and Illinois, that the tiny town of East St. Louis is the city of champions. Because when it comes to their high school football team Flyers, they steady winning on the field.

Rightfully so, after a 57-7 stomping of their opponent no. 2 seed Crystal Lake Prairie Ridge. The Flyers were no. 6 seed going in, but their style of play didn’t show it.

This is the 10th time the gents won the state championship in history, which was played at Memorial Stadium on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign.
