Media Icon Bernie Hayes, Founder of the National Black Radio Hall of Fame (NBRHF), and his protégé, Denise Williams chat with SMiles TV host Stephanie Anthony Miles before the National Black Radio Hall Awards Ceremony held in Atlanta, Georgia, in October 2023.
The NBRHF is a nonprofit organization established to provide a place where people of all ages can learn about the history and achievements of Black Radio nationally. Founder, Bernie Hayes said, “The need to establish The National Black Radio Hall of Fame resulted from the underrepresentation of the many contributions and accolades by personalities that played a premiere and essential part in shaping the history of national radio.” Hayes continued, “The goal of the organization is to recognize and commemorate these personalities often overlooked by national institutions,” Hayes added.
Denise Williams was inducted into the NBRHF along with fifty (50) other outstanding Black broadcasters.
