Despite these challenges, they continue to provide aid and scholarships to those in need, most recently providing a mattress to a young man whose mother is in prison

Manasseh Ministry in 2023 was handed a couple of piercing blows, which has affected some portion of the agency mission. One, being the closing down of Bed Bath and Beyond store in Brentwood due to filing Chapter 13.

Since 1998 Manasseh has been with that company, serving over 40,000 persons and even some agencies. One of Manasseh Ministry brand are the large give-a-ways, which has been a drawing card to share the work Manasseh has done.

A second blow, happened to Manasseh Ministry pertaining to funding and the hiring of two staff workers. One being a COO [ Chief Operating Officer] and the other a facilitator. However, in 2024 around March those opening will closed.

Manasseh on November 5, 2023 gave out scholarships to children in grade schools whom parents are incarcerated. Manasseh continue to stand the belief such a service, was created by this agency first, for children in grade schools.

Manasseh does not celebrate any holidays, though every year, Manasseh gives toys away to children with loved ones incarcerated. This year will not be any different. Location, date and time have not been secured.

Ms. Joyce Hawkins’ son was sleeping on the couch or the floor because he did not have a mattress. Manasseh Ministry gave him one of the scholarships, [ his situation was unknown to us at the time]. He was not able to attend and never was she, so we mailed the cashier check to his home.

His mother did not know what to do. She had called the Manasseh Ministry to say she had received the check. I called and told her how sorry I was for not responding early and that was when she informed me about not knowing how to cash the check. I thoroughly explained to her, you must bring your son and go to your bank or the bank on the check. She responded with “He is my grandson. I have had him with me since he was 8 days old. Mother has been in prison for almost 12 years. He needs a bed. Know one has ever done this for us.” I said not even your family or the church? She responded with no one Pastor.

Manasseh 2024 projectors are as followed. Purchase or lease a building for purchase in the City of St. Louis, MO. Continue to build capacity in the staffing areas and partnership. Seek in kind donors for EXMAD auction in November 2024 and to start a mental healing class for elementary youth dealing with
neighborhood trauma and parent incarceration, solely base upon funding approval.

We will develop an Africana Pan Africa curriculum for youth arrested for violence crimes or on the verge of such. Manasseh is not in an explaining position, because in STL they will steal your ideas and claim the frame.

Manasseh Ministry is in the daily business of serving the people of God, as He directs and no one is more important or less important. It’s my pleasure as the founder and CEO of Manasseh Ministry to serve the people and I love it! PRICELESS

See you in 2024!
