Noah will be honored along with more than 60 other students by St. Louis County Government leaders and will receive an award at the St. Louis County Outstanding Student Leadership Recognition Day program on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
The award was established back in 1976 by the St. Louis County Youth Programs, a division of the Department of Human Services, the Office of Family and Community Services, to officially recognize outstanding high school seniors. One senior from each County high school is nominated annually by their high school principal. Student selection is based on Community Service, Leadership, Citizenship, Personal Character, and Extracurricular Activities.
Selected students will attend a Leadership Conference at Washington University in St. Louis which includes morning leadership activities and a luncheon. An afternoon recognition ceremony will take place in the County Council Chambers of the St. Louis County Government Center in Clayton, MO where County Executive Dr. Sam Page will honor students with a Certificate of Recognition.
Noah is a student leader and an academic scholar. He is active in various school clubs and community organizations including Parkway South High School Varsity Football and Track & Field Team, African American Students in Advanced Placement Club, Black Student Union Club, University of Missouri Emerging Leader, Top Teens of America-St. Louis Chapter, NAACP Youth Council St. Louis County, Boy Scouts of America Troop #0173, and West Side MB Church Youth Ministry and Church Nursery Volunteer. He is the recipient of the Parkway School District’s prestigious Superintendent Character Award and has received the District Spirit of Excellence honor for his academic achievements. Upon graduation, Noah plans to attend college and major in journalism and minor in film.
