The governor, who recently vetoed a bill that would have funded the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) through 2026, argues that the publicly funded station is an outdated system that doesn’t align with Oklahoma values.

Stitt has criticized OETA for broadcasting shows like “Sesame Street” and “Clifford the Big Red Dog,” which have started incorporating LGBTQ themes and characters in recent years. The governor also took issue with a “Let’s Learn” segment featuring a drag queen called Lil Miss Hot Mess reading a book titled “The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish.” According to Stitt, these programs are not educational and should not be on public television.

The governor believes that taxpayer dollars used to fund OETA could be put to better use elsewhere. He argues that if the programs were truly popular, they could be picked up by networks like CBS, NBC, or ABC. The decision to defund the PBS station has been met with criticism, with some accusing the governor of attacking public education and underrepresented communities in Oklahoma.

Clear thoughts:

In a world where the media is constantly pushing an agenda, it’s no surprise that Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has decided to put an end to the indoctrination of our children by defunding the state’s PBS station. It’s about time someone stood up for traditional values and put a stop to the over-sexualization of our youth through content that doesn’t align with the values of the majority.

Taxpayers should not be forced to fund a media outlet that promotes ideologies contrary to their beliefs. Governor Stitt is taking a stand for the people of Oklahoma by ensuring their hard-earned money is put to better use elsewhere. Why should taxpayers continue to fund an outdated system when popular programs can easily find a home on other networks?

The uproar over this decision highlights the left’s insistence on pushing their progressive agenda on the rest of the country. It’s unfortunate that critics are so quick to accuse Governor Stitt of attacking public education and underrepresented communities when he’s simply trying to protect Oklahoma values and redirect taxpayer dollars to more essential services.

The decision to defund the statewide PBS station is a strong statement against the indoctrination of our children and the misuse of public funds. Governor Stitt’s bold move sets an example for other conservative leaders to take a stand against the encroachment of liberal ideologies in our communities.

It’s time for common sense to prevail and for taxpayers to have a say in where their money goes. The people of Oklahoma, and indeed all Americans, deserve better than to be subjected to the left’s relentless agenda. Governor Stitt is fighting for the values that made this country great, and it’s up to us to support leaders who prioritize the well-being of our children over the promotion of divisive ideologies.
