The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) Career & Workforce Readiness Unit operates career and workforce development programs year-round for members ages 6-18 along with additional opportunities for our alumni ages 19-24. In addition, the Career & Workforce Readiness Unit offers and/or operate our programs throughout the St. Louis region. The St. Louis Internship Program (SLIP) merged with BGCSTL in September of 2020.

SLIP’s mission is to provide hope and opportunity for high school students in the St. Louis region through paid summer internships, intensive employability training, and year-round college and career planning, in partnership with businesses and community organizations, and to build the St. Louis community by developing motivated, well-trained, and talented future employees.
• With the growing complexity of the world and the increasing demands of the 21st century workforce, SLIP is committed to ensuring that every intern graduates from high school fully prepared for college and careers.
• SLIP’s ultimate goal is to create a pipeline of diverse, talented workers for the St. Louis region.

Qualifications:Must attend a partner high school or be a BGCSTL memberHigh School Sophomore or JuniorHave a C or higher cumulative grade point averageHave good attendance and good citizenship; andBe committed to participating in 2024 SLIP activitiesApplications for the 2024 St. Louis Internship Program are available. The deadline for applications is December 1, 2023 by email to slip@bgcstl.org or by mail to one of the following Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis locations:• Herbert Hoover Location – Attn: SLIP
