(St. Louis, Mo. — July 7, 2023) — Two South City favorites – the Stellar Hog and Steve’s Hot Dogs – are collaborating on an out-of-this-world hot dog starting Monday.
The Stellar Dog will launch Monday July 10th and be available for two weeks at Steve’s Hot Dogs on South Grand. The dog will feature Stellar Hog’s award-winning smoked turkey, fried red bell peppers, and gouda cheese on top of Steve’s smoked all beef dog, topped with Stellar Spicy Lou and Sweet Stella BBQ sauces.
The collaboration will highlight the classic flavors of both brands. “When you think about Steve’s Hot Dogs, you immediately think of that great fresh-baked bun and that incredible smoky flavor of their dog,” said Chef Alex Cupp of Stellar Hog, “At Stellar Hog, we are famous for out-of-this-world sauces and amazing smoked meats. This dog highlights all of those notes. We’re excited for folks to try it out.”
The Stellar Dog will be on the menu July 10 through 23, 2024 and only available at Steve’s Hot Dogs on South Grand. Those who order the Stellar Dog will also recieve a coupon to be used on their next visit to Stellar Hog.
Planning to attend the annual Steve’s Hot Dogs National Hot Dog Day celebration on July19th? “Come early,” says Steve Ewing, owner of Steve’s Hot Dogs. “While the dog will be on the menu that day, we expected it to sell out daily – with limited batches fresh smoked turkey on hand each day.”
