A live DJ and the aroma of food greeted the hundreds of guests – adults, moms, dads, aunts, uncles, and children outside as they streamed into the CareSTL Health facility on a sunny and low humidity Saturday, July 22th, for Back-to-School Health Fair.
The fair included family entertainment, refreshments, school supplies & book bags, FREE haircuts, informational booths, and wellness screenings and immunizations at CareSTL, 2425 North Whittier Street in North St. Louis. The fair featured more than 50 vendors.
The event was set up like a neighborhood block party designed to celebrate summer, prepare families for the upcoming school year, and launch relationships that improve family’s health.
“We want everyone to know that CareSTL is all about the community – we care,” said Ruth Lee, Chief Development Officer for CareSTL.
