While you are out shopping for Christmas this week. Make sure you stop by in the morning to fill your appetite with Pharaoh’s Donuts. The shop is the vision and mission of owner, Amon Aziz, and his phenomenal daughter and manager Mrs. Syeeda Aziz-Morris. Their donuts have been in corner stores in Missouri and Illinois for the last 20 years and now this Black-owned business has its bakery located in Downtown St. Louis. Their selection of old-school favorites includes glazed donuts, glazed twists, buttermilk cake, blueberry cake, vanilla- and chocolate-iced long johns, vanilla and chocolate cake, strawberry-jelly filled Bismarcks, cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, custard- and lemon-filled donuts.

Judith Griffin is the CEO and Financial Advisor of Griffin Financial Service Group. Located in Westport Plaza. This Is a financial company where advisors specialize in working with clients who don’t have the ongoing time, knowledge, information, or desire to manage their financial assets and need professional financial advice to reach those goals. Their community involvement also includes working with Youth Mentoring and Food drives for Churches.
Books n Bros
Books N Bros is the 1st and only youth-led book club business for boys to explore stories curated just for them from African American books. Sidney Keys III is a St. Louis, MO, 15-year-old native and rising entrepreneur, who decided to take his love for reading to the next level and create Books n Bros at the young age of 10! Having multiple meet-ups with different boys as a way to advocate for African American literacy. His mother, Winnie Thompson (Caldwell) a St. Louis, MO native and the Co-Founder of Books N Bros. studied Corporate Communications at Lindenwood University and proceeded to work in a fast-paced industry blogging, content creating, teaching, and empowering others in the community. Sidney has made appearances in Oprah’s magazine, on Good Morning America, and on CNN.
