The holiday season is the perfect time to embrace a little extra sparkle and add a bit of glam to your makeup routine. With parties and family gatherings, it’s the perfect opportunity to experiment with bold and dazzling makeup looks that reflect the spirit of the season. Mastering the art of holiday makeup can feel daunting, so I am sharing a few tips and tricks to make it easy, like enhancing your lips, eye-catching eye makeup, and elevating your hairstyle. So let’s dive in!
1. Lipstick:
When it comes to holiday lipstick, you can go bold and glamorous. Opt for rich, deep shades like crimson reds, berry tones, or daring plum hues to make a statement. Matte or glossy finishes both work well, depending on your personal preference. Remember to exfoliate your lips beforehand to ensure a smooth application, and don’t forget to line and fill them with a corresponding lip liner for extra definition.
2. Eye Makeup:
The holidays are the perfect time to play up your eyes and let them shine. Experiment with shimmery or metallic eyeshadows in shades of gold, silver, or bronze. Add some false lashes to add volume and intensity.
3. Blush:
The cold winter weather might leave your skin looking dull, but a little blush or bronzer can fix that. Choose a rosy shade that complements your skin tone, and apply it gently to the apples of your cheeks. Or grab a highlighting bronzing blush for a radiant glow and place it above the cheekbone. Be sure to blend the edges well for a natural-looking flush.
4. Rhinestone Barrettes and Jewelry to Hairstyles:
To elevate your holiday look further, think about adding a little bling into your hairstyle. Create statement hair with accessories adorned with rhinestones, pearls, or crystals to add tons of glamour. Try an updo or half-up hairstyle with decorative barrettes or bobby pins. A ponytail will look extra special adorned with a hair chain or jeweled headband for extra flair.
Whether you adopt one or all of these simple tips this season, remember to enjoy the magic of the season and celebrate the joy of the holidays with confidence and style.
