St. Louis Welcomes “A Spectacular Black Girl ArtShow” Highlighting 30+ Local Black Women Artists

ST. LOUIS, MO – “A Spectacular Black Girl Art Show,” originally launched in 2019 by visionary curator Joshua Love, is not merely an exhibition but a monumental celebration of Black women artists. With its next stop in Cleveland, the show will proudly feature the work of over 30 local Black women artists, further amplifying the depth of talent in the community. Across 25 U.S. cities, the exhibition has touched the lives of more than 72,000 attendees, showcasing the work of over 5,000 artists.

About the Show:

Originating in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2019, Joshua Love created a unique platform to spotlight, uplift, and honor the unparalleled talents of Black women artists. This vision has since blossomed into a nationwide movement.

The exhibition’s journey across America has been transformative. Whether in major cities or intimate settings, the show has ignited conversations around art, culture, and identity. Cleveland’s edition is special, celebrating over 30 local Black women artists, shining a spotlight on the region’s vibrant artistic scene.

Inclusivity remains the show’s heartbeat. Artists, regardless of their background or experience, gather to paint a vivid mosaic of artistry, narratives, and shared experiences.

Collectors regard the show as a treasure trove, unveiling pieces that echo the diverse perspectives and experiences of Black women. Attendees frequently emphasize the show’s familial warmth and the profound sense of community it fosters.

Reflecting on a previous event, one artist shared, “The vibe was more than I could ever imagine! I have done art shows before, but nothing compared to this one. There was so much TRUE love, appreciation, and admiration for the creatives. For the first time as a visual artist, I felt like I found my people. We’re all here with the same dreams and unique styles. It was amazing to see. I will definitely be back!”
