The 15th Semi-Annual ReMix Awards Show unfolded in all its glory on a Sunday night at the splendid Special Tymes Banquet Hall. The event was nothing short of a spectacular showcase of talent, dedication, and community spirit. Organized by the vibrant and community-beloved media icon, The Newsletter ’05 (of the Dynasty Media LLC’s family), this awards show had everyone buzzing with excitement.

Moreover, The Newsletter ’05, is also the Senior Editor, PR here at The Argus St. Louis. And they are an influential figure known for championing the underserved, brought an infectious energy to the event, making it a night to remember. Dressed to the nines, attendees brought their A-game to the awards show, creating a vibrant and glamorous atmosphere.

Furthermore, the evening was punctuated with high-energy performances from a roster of talented artists. “Mz. Goldie,” who clinched the “Alternative Songstress of The Year Award,” wowed the audience with her captivating vocals.
In addition, R&B Artist of the Year, “Mookie Tolliver,” electrified the crowd with a dynamic performance. Gradually, starting with upbeat tracks, he transitioned seamlessly into soulful ballads, leaving the audience swooning.
Another honoree, Blues Entertainer of the Year, “ET Pankins,” delivered a power-packed blues performance that solidified his status as one of the genre’s greatest artists. With regards, there were also more performances by other artists, that kept the crowd engaged throughout the evening.

Veterans Victoreaux Author (NOVA), Mr3one4, Rickey James, and the sultry Jennices O’Mega, who got the party started with her steamy lyrical flow. Because The Newsletter ’05 philosophy is, you have to start somewhere to go anywhere.

Respectfully, The ReMix Awards also paid tribute to St. Louis businesses, recognizing their contributions to the local scene. In Da Loop Restaurant, praised for their hamburgers, were recognized as the “Best New Restaurant of The Year,” while “STL on The Rocks” secured the honor of “Best Female-Owned Nightlife” establishment.

The business highlights were: Sojohna Bell, Business Woman of the Year, for her commitment to beauty and entrepreneurship, James Witherspoon received an honor for “Promoter of the Year-National.” and there was a surprise award given to an event icon in his own right, Mark A, Jones, co-host, who received an honor for “Best Longest Running Social Event” Stress Free Fridays.

Well deserving, “Media Magnate of the Year” was bestowed to media mogul David Beckford II of Dynasty Media LLC. In retrospect, the night was brimming with gratitude, a bunch of emotions, and recognition of past recipients, as talented individuals took the stage to accept their awards.
Another popular business that is making a big buzz, is honoree “Best Place for Seafood” Krab Kingz in the Loop area.Amongst the recipients were myself “Lacey ‘G Souldier’ Turner,” who was honored with “The Podcaster of The Year Award.” My exceptional work in the podcasting realm was celebrated with thunderous applause.

Last but not least, Pierre McCleary, the recipient of the “Best Event Concept” award, delivered a touching and inspiring speech, reminding the audience of the power of creativity and innovation in event planning.
The after-party, with the festivities continuing on at “In Da Loop,” where attendees indulged in delectable drinks, scrumptious food, and mingling. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, encapsulating the spirit of the entire evening.
In conclusion, The ReMix Awards Show, was a resounding success, celebrating an abundance of talent and fostering a sense of community and togetherness. This memorable night will undoubtedly stand the test of time, and its impact will be felt for years to come.
