Robert Moore, Health and Fitness Coach

With the New Year just starting, many of us have goals that we have set and feel pretty positive about achieving at this point. For others we need a little help getting out of the gate. This is where a health coach comes in to save the day! Recently I sat down and had a chat with Coach Robert Moore about his private 6-month on-line health coaching program and the 10-city tour that he is currently working on.

Robert Moore is a St.Louis native, certified personal trainer, and nutrition coach with ISSA, As a 42-year old single father of 2 wonderful young men (9 and 6 years old) whom he is co-parenting, he has his hands full. Robert’s vision is to impact a million lives to live their healthiest, “I want to make living healthy simple and prevent chronic diseases that are killing us”

When did you move to Florida?

I moved to Florida in 2009, to attend FAU for a B.S. in hospitality and management and minor in finaching.

When did you start your plant -based journey?

In 2013, my mom lost her battle with cancer, In 2009 my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She received radiation and chemotherapy and beat it, but unfortunately in 2013 it came back and metastasized to her brain and lungs and at that time it was just too aggressive. With the combination of losing my mom and the birth of my first son in 2014, I decided to do something different with my eating habits and lifestyle. “I found my why”

What was your diet like growing up?

The typical standard American diet, “S.A.D, processed foods, fried foods, white pastas and flour, processed meat, sugar and salt. Being from St. Louis I ate tons of bar-b-que and fast foods. I changed to a vegetarian diet at the age of 18.

How was your health prior to switching to a plant based diet?

Irritable bowel syndrome, lack of energy and restless sleep

What motivated you to become a health coach?

In 2020 a co-worker asked me to help him lose weight. He was 6’2, and over 300 pounds, and was sick and tired of being sick and tired. He was the proud father of a newborn baby (“That was his why”) and wanted to live a better life for his baby. I created a weight loss plan for him, and in 90 days he was able to lose 30 pounds, his sleep improved and he was moving around without discomfort. The feeling that I got from that day, gave me the motivation and courage to quit my job after a few weeks later, and every since then, I have been helping people live their best life, a healthy life! “I never looked back”

What are some things that you like to do in your free time?

Spartan Obstacle Course Races, indoor rock climbing, building things out of wood and enjoying fatherhood.

And the famous St. Louis question, what high school did you attend?

I am from U-city high school class of ‘99, I was on the baseball and wrestling teams.

How can people get intouch with you?

You can find me across all social media as @coachrobertmoore, IG, Facebook and coachrobertmoore.com. For my going plant-based made simple course, private 6-month on-line health coaching plan and info on my 10-city tour.
