The 17th Annual Rukapuff Rocka Slam Jam brought out the best of St. Louis for a day of thrilling basketball, electrifying performances, and uplifting community spirit. All proceeds from the event benefited the Starrs in the Skyy Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to youth mentorship and empowerment.
The day started with a soulful rendition of the National Anthem by Songbird Ivy. Hosts Unk the Great and Dymonddamodel kept the energy high throughout the event. Sincerely Anonymous brought their unique sound to the stage with two captivating songs.
The crowd cheered on local celebrities like Jesse Taylor Jr. and Reggie Dubb as they showcased their basketball skills. Vendor tables, including Larry Hughes Basketball Academy and Sweets by Sweetwaters, added to the festive atmosphere.
Fans witnessed two action-packed games, starting with a showdown between talented women’s squads. Talented dance teams like Star Struck Divas Dance Team and Blessed Modelz showcased their moves, adding to the excitement.

A special halftime show featured the dynamic 25 to Life, followed by the spirited Battling Divas dance team. Kyuan Billups (of the St. Lunatics) and Denise Little were honored for their contributions to the Starrs in the Skyy Foundation.

n the girls’ game, the STL Shooting Stars emerged victorious with a final score of 43-18 against the Ladies of the Lou.
The men’s game was equally thrilling, with Team State Farm facing off against Team St. Louis Vs. Errbody. Radio legend DJ Kut and (#314Day founder) Young Dip lent their support from courtside. Rising talent like MG-M and Eddie Tapia shared the spotlight and delivered memorable halftime performances.
“Rukapuff Rocka Slam Jam 17 is in the books,” said Zeus Rebel Waters, founder of the event. “We didn’t have any fights, arguments, altercations, shooting, or anything violent. Proud of my city!”
