CareSTL Health Mourns the Loss of Dr. Aaron Pile
The entire CareSTL Health community is grieving as we’ve lost an instrumental member of our family. Dr. Aaron Pile passed away on Sunday, December 10. He was a staple in the St. Louis community and aimed to improve pregnancy outcomes for Black mothers.

He knew that pregnancy and childbirth came with increased risk for Black women and was dedicated to closing this gap in health equity.

Dr. Pile served the St. Louis community for decades, safely delivering hundreds of babies and often served as the OB/GYN for generations of families. At the CareSTL Health Gala, he was honored for his dedication, earning the Presidential Award.

The accompanying video shows his wife speaking beautifully about the impact of Dr. Pile on his patients and his families. The level of compassion he brought to his practice is unmatched. Please keep his family and loved ones in your prayers and thoughts. Dr. Pile will be deeply missed though his impact will carry on.

Dr. Pile earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk and completed a rotating internship at East Virginia Medical Center. He completed his ob/gyn residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Harbor Hospital.
“My philosophy of care is to offer individual attention through personalized care and advanced technology in a community setting at a grassroots level. I serve a diverse group of women in my community and provide experienced, compassionate care to women of all ages.”
