St. Louis, MO, December 21, 2023 – The holiday season in the Delmar Loop doesn’t end in December – it continues into January with the 17th Annual Ice Carnival on January 20th! Building on the success of last year’s event, which attracted over 12,000 attendees, the 2024 Ice Carnival is set to be the biggest yet!

The Delmar Loop has even more in store for this year’s Ice Carnival. Beloved Blues’ mascot, Louie, will be there to join the winter fun, and this day-long event will feature the following:

  • 50+ ice sculptures
  • Live music
  • Inflatable activities
  • Snowflake ballerinas
  • Fire Performers
  • Live ice carving demonstrations

This year, the Delmar Loop is excited to add its first ever Ice Carnival Drone Show! The show features 160 drones lighting up the night sky. Beginning at 7 PM, viewers can experience the show from the ground, visible from a mile away! A VIP Viewing Area on the rooftop of the Moonrise Hotel offers an exclusive experience for $75 for adults and $45 for kids twelve and under. Tickets include heavy hors d’oeuvres and two drinks from the bar. Blankets will also be available. This is the only location where viewers can hear the synced music for the show.

Hayrides will transport festival-goers from one end of the festivities to the other, and local businesses along Delmar Blvd will host a variety of games and events from 11AM-7PM. Don’t miss each business’s custom ice sculpture, the $1250 Ice Cube Give Away, and the Tattoo Scavenger Hunt!

Samantha Smugala, Executive Director of the East Loop Community Improvement District, and Jessica Bueler, Marketing Specialist of the Loop Special Business District, expressed their excitement for the upcoming event, “The Ice Carnival is such a great tradition in the Delmar Loop. We can’t wait to bring our community together for a day of winter fun while supporting local Loop Businesses.” For more information visit visittheloop.com/events/17th-annual-loop-ice-carnival/.
