The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Metropolitan Saint Louis Chapter, is now inviting applications for its Scholarship Program, aimed at academically talented Black women. It is highly encouraged to the share this opportunity with an African-American woman over 30 years old who is currently enrolled in a College or University. The Scholarship program’s objectives are: 1. To recognize and support academically gifted Black women seeking to further their education or pursue career changes. 2. To foster the educational advancement of Black women demonstrating the potential for academic success. 3. To provide resources to help under-skilled or under-employed Black women enter the workforce and pursue professional careers. Eligibility Criteria: – Must be an African American woman, at least 30 years old. – Enrollment in an accredited college for at least one year is required. Eligible institutions include 2-year, 4-year, junior, and post-graduate programs. – Must be a permanent resident of the Metropolitan St. Louis area, with proof such as a Driver’s License or State ID. – A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required. – Finalists will undergo an oral interview. The application deadline is Saturday, February 23, 2024. Scholarship recipients will be honored at the NCBWSTL’s 40th Anniversary Gala. |
