I was heading to a meeting on N. Spring Ave., and after getting turned around several times. To my delight I stumbled upon a happy place.
My discovery was not at all too little, because this was a huge thing to me. The fact that the city has owned up to its part and building tiny homes for the veterans that are unhoused.
I grabbed my cell camera with three lenses, as cars drove by looking at “Clark Kent” in action. You would have thought I was about to hit a phone booth and fly away in happiness.
But I took a few shots of the little home village going up at Aldine and North Spring Ave off Grand Ave. Now, this was such a joy to get lost and run into this long awaited project with a non-profit connection.
So, before I close out I will share my images and leave you with a video I had found and external links for more information. Due to the facts that there was no one on the site, as the rain was about to disband.
The Veterans Community Project will be a village of 50 tiny homes for homeless Veterans at the corner of N. Grand Ave. and Aldine Ave. in St. Louis. There will be a Veterans Outreach Center that will connect Veterans to services in the area as well.
