Greetings Community Partners and Friends, Happy New Year,
As we prepare for our various programming for 2024, we are requesting your help. Please review the requests below, and respond if you are available to give back to the community (children, parents, caregivers, and underserved individuals) by presenting financial literacy and education, and mentoring students through our Pen or Pencil Group Mentoring Project.
With our mentoring component, we need several police officers, judges, or others in uniform – curriculum-based). January-June, the project is entitled, Let Me Read You Your Rights (Ten Bill of Rights, also I Fear for My Life). This is a national mentoring program and we do need a professional for each child – and the professional should be in uniform when the student reads to the professional, Help!
In reality, we only need 20 minutes or so of your time, but a mini-discussion with the mentee is appreciated. You will be provided a summary of the Rights, but the child will have all of the Rights.
In addition to these two programs, we have Intergenerational Arts (Parents, Children, and Caregivers can participate, but are not required), books, and banks for children; need the use of facilities at no cost, affordable, or reasonable when the in-person program is needed.Â
Donors and sponsors, we need your support for incentives such as pizza, box lunches, healthy snacks, beverages, gas, gift cards, tablets, and laptops, more as determined – Part and Full Sponsors are appreciated as well.
If you are available for any of the programming below, email, text, call, or message me via Facebook. Flyers, with time, and location will be provided:
